The market starts later this afternoon! Open for three days, the market will close on Saturday, December 13 at 8 PM. There is no fee for admission, however donations are appreciated. Pets are not permitted. Please travel safe in and around Mifflinburg over the next few days. If you’re making plans to come to the Christkindl Market, here’s what you need to know for parking and shuttle information. With thousands of visitors at the market, for three days only, December 11, 12, and 13, it will be a very busy time for Mifflinburg. Parking around the market is very limited and we encourage usage of our free shuttle service, which is sponsored by Geisinger.

Shuttles are available for free at three locations throughout market hours: Christ’s United Lutheran Church aka Four Bells Church (13765 Old Turnpike Rd, Millmont, PA 17845), Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren (46 Brethren Church Rd, Mifflinburg, PA 17844), and Buffalo Valley Produce Auction (22 Violet Rd, Mifflinburg, PA 17844).

This year, Handicapped Parking is available near the Market in the Union County Government Center Parking Lot (N 5th St, Mifflinburg, PA 17844) for wheelchair/power chair individuals and placarded vehicles only. Thanks again to our shuttle sponsor, Geisinger, for proving the free shuttle service.

The Market is only a few weeks away and we still have some volunteer opportunities available! While preparing for the market is a year-long endeavor and we’re always open to community volunteers, we’re looking for support working in our Information Booths and our Christkindl Corner during market hours.

The Information Booths are at the two main market entrances and the primary responsibilities include handing out brochures and answering questions. The Christkindl Corner is the booth in the market center that sells German imports; responsibilities include helping customers with sales.

Staring tomorrow at 6PM, First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania will host Raise the Region, a 30-hour fundraising event. Raise the Region will help the communities of Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Tioga, and Union counties support local nonprofit fundraising efforts - including Mifflinburg’s Christkindl Market! We hope you’ll consider making a donation to our 501c3, the Christkindl Market of Mifflinburg, during this event - more information to come once the event goes live!
