Join us at 15115 Hamlin Ave in Midlothian. Meadowlark Haunt has moved to a new home. Come out and say hello to our very own Dr. Metzger and the rest of our ghoulish crew. We are waiting for you! We have something to scare even the bravest of souls! Meadowlark Haunt/Festival of Darkness will run weekends in 2023 starting Friday, Oct. 13th. Fridays and Saturdays til 10, Sundays until 9. Weather permitting. On some nights we'll have live actors and candy for the kids! Open Halloween too!

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Halloween. 🎃

But it wasn’t always that way. There was a time when I seriously thought about walking away from it all — selling everything and being done with haunting completely.

Then, thanks to the internet, I discovered a community I didn’t even know I needed. More specifically, I found Allen Hopps and Scott Swenson.

Through Allen’s YouTube channel and Scott’s podcasts and videos, they unknowingly helped reignite my passion when I needed it most. Their creativity, positivity, and willingness to share knowledge reminded me why I fell in love with Halloween in the first place.

Because of that inspiration, I kept going. Today I’m lucky enough to have amazing friends in both the home haunt and pro haunt communities, and I’m proud to run a charity home haunt that means the world to me.

So to you both — thank you. You probably had no idea the impact you were making, but you helped keep a haunter going. And for that, I’m truly grateful. 🧡
