Transcend Fest A celebration of yoga, wellness, and community. In a serene setting at Powder Ridge in Middlefield Ct. Sept 12-14, 2025

Bringing together inspiring teachers, holistic healers, and conscious creatives for a journey of movement, mindfulness, an connection. Transcend Yoga & Wellness festival is a two-day event taking place September 14-15, 2024. This festival was curated to combine yoga, wellness, and spirituality and create the first event of this kind in Connecticut. Surrounded by nature at the beautiful location of

Powder Ridge, we thrive to offer the community an event where you can gather with like-minded people and learn from a wide variety of yoga teachers, lectures, holistic health professionals, spiritualists, and more! Take in the scenery and connect to the earth during one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. In addition, we will be offering camping on Saturday night at the venue as well as an after fest which includes live music and a community based vegan farm to table dinner. Transcend to higher consciousness during the day and let loose and party with us at night!

We are honored to welcome Bianca to the Transcend Fest family for Transcend 2026 in Middlefield, CT!

Biana Mavasheva is a licensed clinical therapist, certified yoga instructor, ordained reverend and founder of Oneness Center Inc., where she has supported the personal and spiritual growth of hundreds through workshops and individual care.
 
Her yoga classes offer an enchanting and uplifting journey—interweaving song, spirit, and sweat—to nourish the body and awaken the soul. Biana first came to the mat in 2003 after years of competitive tennis. Her vinyasa flow sequences are infused with the spiritual wisdom she’s cultivated from over a decade of study at Oneness University in India, time spent with healers around the world, and her path as an interfaith minister.
 
As a Reverend and a Licensed Professional Counselor Psychologist, Biana brings a rare depth of insight and compassion to her teaching. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing people heal relationships, resolve inner conflict, connect with their true essence, and feel empowered to soar in their lives. Practicing with Biana will leave you feeling energized, grounded, and spiritually fed. Step onto the mat with her and let your practice become a magical, heart-opening journey.

We are honored to welcome DJ Taz Rashid to the Transcend Fest family for Transcend 2026 in Middlefield, CT!

DJ Taz Rashid brings a high vibrational energy to any room instantly by mixing the beats and rhythms of Love, Ancient New World, House, Devotional, and all the cosmic sounds. He is known for his unique style of blending electronic dance music with yoga and meditation, which has made him a popular figure in the yoga and wellness community. His vision is to be a channel to cause the expansion of all those around by tapping into the creative wisdom of the body and allowing them to feel, let go and awaken. 
 
For the past decade, Taz has been producing and part of creating transformative and uplifting experiences globally and as a musician, he plays guitar, piano, Native American Flute, didgeridoo and hand percussion. He has a deep understanding of the power of sound and how it can be used to enhance the practice of yoga and meditation to create a seamless and enjoyable experience. Recently he has been performing and DJing at events such as Drishti Beats, Telluride Yoga Fest, Yoga Journal Conference, Wanderlust Festivals, Arise Festival, Bhakti Fest, Bali Spirit Fest, and many more high vibrational gatherings while sharing the stage with global acts such as Xavier Rudd, Michael Franti, Trevor Hall, Sol Rising, MC Yogi, DJ Drez, Guadi and more. His live performances are known for their energy, positivity, and ability to create a sense of community and connection among his audience.
 
Taz also composes original music and for use by mindful brands, tv, movies, events and other media with the vision of spreading an energy vibration of peace, love and unity.

After a corporate career spanning 15 years in NYC, Lauren answered a call toward healing work—a path born from her own health challenges and burnout. She now runs LB Healing LLC back in her home state of CT and guides others with Reiki, sound healing, and ceremonial cacao experiences, creating gentle, intentional spaces for exploration and connection. We are honored to welcome Kristina to the Transcend Fest family for Transcend 2026 in Middlefield, CT!

Kristina is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, currently completing her 300-hour advanced training. She specializes in yin and slow-flow vinyasa classes that welcome and support all levels. Guided by the belief that yoga promotes mindfulness, ease, and a sense of calm for everyone, Kristina weaves these principles into every class she teaches. When she’s not in the studio, she enjoys spending time with her husband, teenage daughter and dog Rondo. More than likely, she’s scheming their next great adventure (preferably a road trip).

We are honored to welcome Sama to the Transcend Fest family for Transcend 2026 in Middlefield, CT!

Sama Shakti is a yoga instructor, sound therapy practitioner, and empowerment coach from Hudson Valley, NY.  She has been holding space for connection and healing through a variety of classes, gatherings, and retreats for the last 7 years.  Sama believes a combination practice of movement and sound has the power to transform your life.  Movement (breath work, dance, yoga asana, shaking) and sound (mantra, vocal toning, vibrations from sacred instruments) release the toxic energy stuck in the physical body, creating space for the inner layers of your being to be set free.  In her classes, you can expect to feel a beauitful balance of expansion and containment of energy through strength and surrender.

✨ FACILITATOR SPOTLIGHT — Shea Wilson Mitlehner✨

We are honored to welcome Shea to the Transcend Fest family for Transcend 2026 in Middlefield, CT!

Shea Wilson Mitlehner is a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, RYT-200, and Reiki Master whose lifelong connection with nature began on a small farm in Oklahoma, where she spent much of her childhood outdoors. After moving to Connecticut and discovering the beauty of its landscape and feeling the hugging embrace of the earth in the rolling hills, she deepened her relationship with the natural world through daily outdoor practices, including sit spots and mindful walks in the woods.

Shea is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Professional Scuba Diving Instructor, extending her reverence for the natural world beneath the surface of the water. Whether with people, on land or in the water, her work is rooted in presence, honoring individuals and the reciprocal relationship with the more than human world.
