Hello! Elio here, cofounder and longtime volunteer :~)

Just writing to thank you all for a beautiful and growth-filled 4+ years of MiddPride! It has been a great honor to give to our community in this way, and I have utmost confidence in the future of local q***r joy. This festival is not only self-sustaining, it just keeps growing. That is really dang cool. I am proud of the work we’ve done, and grateful to be in community with each of you!

Thank you especially to the rad youth at The Teen Center. You all amaze me! It is a gift to be an adult in your lives, and I hold immense hope for your futures. Sending care your way. 🌈

I have returned home to the Midwest and will be here for the foreseeable future. I am happy here, and overjoyed to get to spend time with my family after so many years away.

As this year was my last festival, my time with MiddPride has come to an end, and I will log out of relevant accounts by the end of this week. I will continue to be a resource and cheerleader to this vibrant community. The friendships I’ve made through this work remain very dear to me.

MiddPride is not going anywhere, and I have full confidence in this team! We will be just fine. Programming will shift as our capacity decreases, but our annual festival will absolutely continue.

I will be back to visit Middlebury, to spend time with loved ones and fulfill local faith commitments. This is not a farewell, this is merely a transition into a different relationship.
