Let's not make this a sad news, let's make this an assurance that something better is coming.
Because of all the chaos we see ourselves, because of the totally different situation we thought we could ever be on the Miami Dance Festival will not happen this year, it's postponed for the next year on the same weekend (November 4th to 8th), and for the one's who already got the ticket can be used on the new dates. Who doesn't got the chance to get the tickets can still purchase them from now on.
I remember a few months back, I laugh about this, I thought everyone was panicking about something small, like the flu, but it isn't. This is a real and serious situation that we must take with a serious and responsible perspective.
To make sure every single one of you has the best experience and can, not only, learn but enjoy, I couldn't put you at risk. Everything is new, the masks are new, the social distance is new but we need to respect and learn in order to grow, just like a dance, something we are so passionate about it and make us feel so special every time.
Think this as an opportunity to evaluate what you want to do in the future, how you want to see you as a dancer, and how far you can go with it. It's an interesting way for us to look into ourselves and be better people from now on.
Next year, we'll make it bigger and better, celebrating dance, life, and the future.
Take care of yourself self, your family, and your community, because we never know what can happen tomorrow.
