80's Night at Miami BMX

80's Night at Miami BMX Aug, 20th 2016

Events and info:
There will be an Old school bike show with various classes including a Non-BMX vintage class. This will be a fun event.

Bike show participants need to be in place by 5:30pm. There will be an old school intermission race. Classes will be 13 & under, 14-29 & a 30 and over masters class. No clips are allowed in any old school race. Bikes have to be old school with no threadless stems. All competitors will be required to do one foot starts. There will also be a regular USABMX single point race going on with sign ups fo

r that from 6:30-7:30. Music for the evening will be provided by Resonation. There will be an 80's best dressed costume contest.

80's dance off with Team Resonation in charge of judging the grooviest grooves and the hippest hips! After the races the movie Rad will be played outside so bring chairs or blankets. Plan to attend.

While you're trying to decide which classic ride your bringind tonight, here is some for food for thought :
There are 7 categories for the show:
1. Race (80's -early 90's with threaded fork& caliper brakes)
2. Freestyle (old school freestyle bikes with threaded fork, caliper brakes)
3. Cruiser (all 24" and up bmx bikes regardless of age)
4. Retro (new bikes designed to look old or reproduction bikes)
5. 70's BMX (79 and older BMX style bikes)
6. Mid-School (mid-90's to early 2000's, threadless forks )
7. Non-BMX (ANYTHING ELSE)

It's 80's Night and it's time to race! :-) Weather is awesome, track is ready to rock and the tunes are ready to be pumped up!
Race Signups are 630-730.
Bike show bikes need to be in place at 530pm.

We are under 2 weeks away from the totally RAD 80's Night! Who is ready to see some sidehack racing?! :)

This year we have upped our game by inviting folks that raced BMX back in the day to come out and see old friends and make new ones!

Grab your favorite pair of cuffed denims and a can of hairspray for a night of fun!
