Willie was also a wonderful, caring and generous friend to everyone who was lucky enough to have their lives cross paths with his. Vaya con dios nuestro amigo… ✨🙏🏽✨

Rafael Ithier, a bandleader who brought the rhythms of his native Puerto Rico to a world audience with the long-running salsa orchestra El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, (giving inspiration to younger artists from the island like Bad Bunny) died on Dec. 6 in Bayamón, P.R. He was 99.

Armando Manzanero was undoubtedly one of the greatest Latin songwriters that ever lived. He was also (along with Manuel Alejandro and Elena Casals), the inspiration behind the effort of creating our noble organization.

Armando Manzanero Canché (7 December 1934 – 28 December 2020) was a Mexican musician, singer, composer, and music producer, widely considered the premier Mexican romantic composer of the postwar era and one of the most successful composers of Latin America. He received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in the United States in 2014 and was the president of the Mexican Society of Authors and Composers (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México). These are jest a few of his many achievements in music.
