Four weekends beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving. There is NO admission fee! Metamora is Indiana's Canal Town. Home of the Whitewater Canal State Historic Site, a trail head on the Whitewater Canal Trail and midpoint of the Whitewater Canal Scenic Byway. Christmas is a festive season in the village, with decorations, music, and lanterns lit along the canal.. Christmas Walk begins on the Friday of Thanksgving weekend. Special late hours for shopping on Friday and Saturday nights. Regular hours on Sunday. Lanterns lit along the canal at dusk on Fri and Sat. Four Weekends.
