It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the loss of someone who was truly the heart of our organization.

Mrs. Virginia was a longtime member of the Greater New Orleans Floral Trail Board and a bright light of our festival. Her dedication, kindness, and unwavering love for our community touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She gave so much of herself to our organization, and her legacy will continue to bloom in the traditions and memories she helped create.

We miss her dearly and are forever grateful for the laughter, friendship, and countless memories we shared. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will always remain a part of the Greater New Orleans Floral Trail.

Rest peacefully, Mrs. Virginia. You will never be forgotten. 🌸💜

89th Queen

While in Washington, our Queen had the special opportunity to meet a former queen — the 1978 Greater New Orleans Floral Trail Queen, Melanie Ouzts Delesdernier. Hearing her share her memories and experiences from her time as Queen, and being reminded that we were one of the original seven groups invited to Washington, truly put into perspective the rich history behind our organization. It was a meaningful reminder of the legacy we carry and just how enduring and special the Greater New Orleans Floral Trail continues to be.

Our Queen is finally home after representing the festival in Washington D.C. for the Washington Mardi Gras Ball! She had the time of her life and did a wonderful job. We’re so proud of her!
