I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and painting them has always felt natural to me. What began as a personal challenge grew into a passion for using watercolor to bring out the personality and emotion of pets we love as family, as well as the variety and unique beauty found in wildlife. Through my work, I hope to share that appreciation with others who value animals just as deeply.

Moss & Pixel
Star, Idaho

Hi, I’m Diane—a mom of two, wife, and daughter who discovered unexpected healing, hope, and connection through plants.

In 2021, I suffered a serious ankle injury that required surgery and a very long recovery. Just as I was regaining my strength, a knee injury in 2023 set me back once again. These seasons of healing were difficult, but they also gave me a new perspective: I longed for friendship, connection, and something meaningful to bring light into the struggle.

That’s when I discovered kokedamas. At my first workshop, I felt joy again—my hands in the soil, laughter in the room, and creativity spark to life. Later, while traveling in Colombia, I saw kokedamas thriving in their natural beauty, and I knew I had found my inspiration.

Plants taught me something powerful: growth takes time, healing comes in seasons, and connection makes it possible. Out of that realization, Moss & Pixel was born. My mission is to bring people together—to create, to laugh, and to heal—through the simple beauty of plants.

Whether you join me at a workshop, bring kokedamas into your home, or gift them to someone you love, I hope you feel the same spark of connection that lit a new path for me

Crepe Joy began with a simple dream - to give our teenage children hands-on experience in entrepreneurship while sharing our family’s love for Japanese crepes. What started as a fun idea around the kitchen table quickly grew into a joyful pop-up business. Hillmanor Design
Idaho Falls, Idaho

I began my mixed media journey in 2020, experimenting with botanical printmaking by steaming leaves onto cotton watercolor paper. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a passion as I began layering watercolor, gouache, ink, and acrylic—bringing wildlife to life on each one-of-a-kind, handmade print.

Over the years, this process has evolved through patience, practice, and a lot of trial and error. It’s taken a couple of years to develop my style into what it is today, and every piece reflects that journey of growth, exploration, and connection to nature.

Meet the artist and get swept away in stunning works at the 3rd Annual Meridian Fine Art Festival, happening June 27th–28th at Kleiner Park in Meridian.

Regional Artist Spotlight
Jeffrey Siegel Ceramic Art
San Diego, California

I fell in love with clay the first time I sank my hands into it as a young student. The movement of shaping clay into something exciting on the wheel is a series of actions and reactions, like having a conversation with myself. It is common for me to say the clay speaks to me. A hike in the mountains or a walk along the shore sets me on my journey to self-realization. I am inspired by nature and find balance through my art.

In this collection I marry sculpture and wheel-throwing by adding organic elements to the pieces, bringing my sensibility of the natural world to the eye of the admirer.

My work has been featured at the Florence Italy Biennale in which I won a Gold Medal, as well as in The Los Angeles Museum of Folk Art, The Borrego Springs Art Institute, and numerous art galleries and international private collections.
