Falls Fest has always been something special. Our fireworks end the festival with a bang. This year will be the biggest bang to mark the end of Falls Fest. Don't miss it. Falls Fest Will definitely be going out with a bang.

Falls Fest has been a 24 year labor of love. This festival has been run by volunteers for its entire existence. We have never had any paid staff. Our volunteers have been great and continue to be great. We are thankful for all their support.

A number of the changes that will be happening to Village Park will directly impact Falls Fest. The biggest change is losing the ball field. The softball tournaments and related sales comprise 33% of our income. To lose this income is devastating. The ball field is also our fireworks venue. There are other changes that will also affect us adversely including the elimination of some of the tennis courts where we offer children & family activities as well as the elimination of the parking lot where the main music tent is located. This being said, the Village cannot determine what is best for its residents based on the needs of a four day annual event.

Some have suggested relocating. This is a difficult undertaking. We have spent thousands of dollars adding electrical upgrades to ensure we can meet the power needs of the bands, our food vendors, the beverage caddies and lighting in all the tents. This type of infrastructure would be difficult & expensive to recreate elsewhere. In addition, our current location allows the festival to be held on hard surfaces so we didn't have to worry about muddy venues in the event of rain.

We hope this answers some of the questions that have been raised regarding why the decision was made to make this our last year. We are sad to see it end as well. We have wonderful memories, just as so many of you do.

As the saying goes, All Good Things Must Come to an End . . .

So it is with mixed feelings that we have made the decision that Falls Fest 2016 will be the final year of the Festival.

Falls Fest has been part of our community for 24 years and we appreciate all the support you've given us. As Fest-goers, volunteers, vendors, entertainers, softball players or donors, you've been with us as the festival has grown and, regardless of the weather, you came out to celebrate with friends and family!

As you may have heard, there will be a number of changes taking place in the area where we host Falls Fest. These changes will affect the festival so we are choosing to host one final Fest before the changes begin.

While we're sad to see Falls Fest come to an end, change is good and we are optimistic that the upcoming changes to the area will be beneficial to the community.

So we invite you to join us July 28-31 for one final Falls Fest celebration! Hope to see you there!
