Scores from this weekend IDPA match at S7 Tactical. It is with a heavy heart that this was the last match at S7 Tactical that I will be the match director for. As far as I know they do not have anyone to replace me, so unfortunately S7 will not be hosting any IDPA matches for the foreseeable future. A huge thank you and appreciation for all of the competitors that have attended my matches, you are all awesome and made my time as match director something I looked forward to every month. Hopefully they will be able to resume hosting competitions in the near future so we can all shoot together again at the S7 Tactical facility.

The 2025 IDPA National Championship held at Mission 160 in Whiteright, TX. I forgot to record the stage that was all strong hand that I finished 0 down on. A huge thank you to all of the staff, sponsors, competitors, and volunteers for all of the work they put in during this match. As far as the match as a championship event I unfortunately have to say was more than disappointing. I worked hard all year and shot every major match that I could gathering points to qualify for this match and really feel it was all for nothing. Between the time and costs involved to shoot the match plus travel, ect. I should have stayed home and shot that weekends local club match as they had much better and more thought out stages. Everyone that I spoke to during and after the match have the same opinion about it. At this time I will not be participating in Nationals next year or any year after until IDPA HQ makes some major changes. IDPA needs to do much better than this. As far as my personal performance I did finish anywhere near where I should have. After the first day I was in 2nd place for my division/class. The second day everything fell apart after letting a bad call get in my head.I just couldn't shake it and let it go. Going forward I will be focussing on the mental aspect of the sport, not letting things ruin stages and matches on top of shooting skills .

Registration is open for the all classifier match at S7 Tactical next weekend the 8th & 9th. Have to be an IDPA member for classification but all are welcome to come out and test your skills. It is multiple strings of fire from multiple positions in one stage. 72 round to complete. Great way to get classified or bump your current classification especially for those divisions that never have enough competitors at major matches to get a match bump and a much better test of skills than the basic 5x5 classifier.

The S7 Tactical match for August 8th/9th will be an all classifier match. We will be using the standard (long version) match classifier for this match. This is a great way to get your initial classification or to bump up your current classification for those divisions that are not well represented at major matches making them impossible to get a match bump. MVSA put out a list of competitors that are registered for AR State that are not currently classified for their registered divisions and can get that taken care of at this match. This match requires 72 rounds to complete and is a better test of skills than the abbreviated 5x5 classifier. The classifier diagram and description has been uploaded to the document section of the registration page as well as below. Being a classifier stage type set up we will be able to set up closer to the shade and can hold this match rain or shine. As always let me know if you have any questions.

I had the privilege to shoot the first "OZ SHOOTOUT" tier 2 regional match presented by the Razorback Dynamic Shooters club and Wilson Combat in Centerton, AR. This was a fantastic match with excellent stages and great competitors. I did not do as well as hoped for with allot of 1's and 2's adding up the points down for the match. Challenging stages with multiple options were through out. Again a big thank you goes out to the match director Jody Box as well as all of the volunteer staff and sponsors that make matches like this possible. I look forward to having this be an annual event and being able to participate in the future.

Video of the 2025 Razorback Shootout held at the CASA range. This was my first time working a major sanctioned IDPA match as a Safety Officer as well as a competitor. Was a very good match with an amazing amount of excellent competitors and staff. Yes, on stage 3 with the open and closed ports that was two steel targets at the start position that I neglected to engage pretty much ending any hopes of a decent finish. This match is another on my way to hopefully qualifying for Nationals this year. Again events like this are not possible without all of the volunteers that put in the long hours and work to make them happen. Thank you to the staff members and outstanding competitors for making it so people like me can enjoy these events.
