You think it's cold now? Wait until Jan & those cold snaps hit & your lights go out! WE GOT YOU!
Thanks to the AARP Community Challenge, Center for Transforming Communities and TheTime IsNow Douglass we have🆓 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EQUIPMENT FREE🆓 to our FIRST 50 SENIORS to join us at the *EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EVENT at DOUGLASS COMMUNITY CENTER on WEDNESDAY, NOV. 19th at NOON!*
We'll provide information on being prepared for a natural disaster or emergency during the upcoming winter months. We'll share with you how to build an emergency kit for you home and car and share resources for assistance if needed during an emergency.
We'll be giving away smoke detector/CO monitors, home fire extinguishers, flameless lanterns, & other items that can help you shelter in place incase of a power outage.
We will also RAFFLE 2 HOME POWER STATIONS that can keep your home electronics running for up to 3 days with one charge!
If you are a SENIOR in North Memphis or care for a senior, please join us for lunch, conversation, education, and a good time!
