Like You Film Club

Like You Film Club is a year round celebration of movies for kids and their families.

With monthly screenings plus an annual film festival, we create community and conversation around stories that all ages enjoy. Our mission is to equip kids to better understand themselves and the world around them through the power of film and creative media. Our programs support the mental health and emotional intelligence of kids through entertaining and thought-provoking stories that spark wonder and foster resilience.

The Sandlot is set during the summer of 1993 in Los Angeles. Scottie Smalls, a new kid to the neighborhood, stumbled upon a “sandlot” where other local kids play baseball and hang out.

This film demonstrates the importance of childhood friendships and the impact they have through our lives. The Sandlot feels forever nostalgic and encapsulates the feeling of a fleeting summer.

This Saturday's screening of My Neighbor Totoro will be a multi-sensory experience! Every child will receive a free sensory bag designed to deepen their connection to the film. Using touch, scent, sound, and simple mindfulness activities, the sensory bags help kids slow down, notice their feelings, and experience the movie in a calm, meaningful, multisensory way – linking what they see on screen to how they feel inside.
