We’ve noticed that a few people are still making plans to attend, so we wanted to post one more reminder:

Soulin’ on the River has been canceled for the 2026 season.

We know many of you were looking forward to spending your Friday evenings with us along the river, and we’re incredibly grateful for the love and excitement you’ve shown this series over the years. While this wasn’t an easy decision, it was the right one.

Please help us spread the word to friends and family who may not have seen the original announcement so no one makes the trip expecting a concert.

Thank you for your understanding, your grace, and your continued support. We appreciate this community more than you know and look forward to the day we can gather together again.

Until then, be kind to one another, support local artists, and keep live music in your life. ☀️🎶

To Our Soulin’ on the River Community,

After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Soulin’ on the River season.

Soulin’ on the River has always been a deeply personal labor of love. Since its inception, I’ve served as the founder and producer, overseeing every aspect of the series from artist curation and partnerships to sponsorships, production, logistics, marketing, and the countless details required to bring each concert to life. While this work has been made possible through the support of wonderful partners, sponsors, volunteers, artists, vendors, and community members, the day-to-day planning and leadership of the series has always rested with me.

As I step away to prioritize my health and take a personal sabbatical, the series must pause as well.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together. Soulin’ on the River has always been about celebrating artists, creating community, and providing free access to live music. It has been an honor to create this experience for Memphis, and I remain grateful to every artist, sponsor, volunteer, vendor, partner, and attendee who has helped make it possible.

Thank you for believing in this vision and for being part of its story. I look forward to what the future holds when the time is right.

With gratitude,

Tonya Dyson
