For the first time in over twenty years, a Black Female choreographer has been nominated for Best Choreography Tony Award. Her name is Camille Brown and she has been propelled to the forefront of the Broadway scene with her unique background conveying dance through contemporary storytelling.

On April 27th I shared the gift of dance by presenting a solo to the families and friends of the wonderful participants of The Bing Dance House which is led by Rasheema Thomas. Their mission is to expose youth living in Binghampton to various styles of dance and help them develop their artistic side while growing physically, mentally, and spiritually. Participants are ages 10-18 and they not only teach them dance and arts and crafts but they build on a lasting relationship of God as the foundation of there lives. The girls learn team building, respect for themselves and respect for others. If you are looking for an organization to donate your time and money to contact Rasheema Thomas.
