Michelle is working on the plans for the Fall Swarm in Bainbridge, NY September 18-28 all while we are out here on Route 66 exploring with the Skoolie Swarm caravan.

We've been sharing highlights from what we call our winter van life gathering season in Florida. Each gathering we attend is unique in its own way. Skoolie Swarm is the most like a vacation for us. It's like summer camp for adults! It's a 10-day gathering in Melrose, Florida where nomads and travelers in skoolies, box trucks, vans, RVs, campers, cars, or other rigs gather in the woods and along the lake for community and fun.

Things we love about the Skoolie Swarm setting and schedule:

Thank you, Skoolie Swarm, for a much-needed opportunity to slow down and relax with our friends in the nomadic community, make new friends, dance, laugh, play games, and make memories. We can't wait until next time!

🚐 Follow us for low budget , , nature, wildlife sightings, and some humor! In 2020, we bought an empty 2019 Ford Transit cargo van and spent the next 2.5 years working to convert the van into a tiny home on wheels while also traveling whenever we could. In 2023, we sold our home and went full time! We've been sharing our experience as we travel the country on a low budget with our cat Lady Gray Gray Gillespie Pinkerton. Our favorite activity at Skoolie Swarm: THE DANCE!!! 🕺💃🏻 In the past years we've attended Swarm, there has been a prom night. This year, the dance was a hoe down! 🤠👢 We worked on our line dancing moves, put on our plaid, and had fun dancing into the night!!! What a great time with the nomad community making lots and lots of memories and sharing lots and lots of laughs!!!

Day 8. Started at an awesome Boondockers Welcome. Saw the Missouri Institute of Natural Science and Wilson's creek battlefield before heading to the 1st Bass Pro Shop to meet back up with Bruce & Linda.

Day 7 We was a bit rainy to start. Saw the world's 2nd largest rocking chair. (Casey, IL has the largest). Drove over Devil's elbow bridge. And stopped in Uranus Fudge Factory ended the day at an awesome Boondockers Welcome spot.

Day 6 Started out sad. Saying "See ya down the road" to Page Barlow and Lizzy Bryan in the rain was a downer. We made the most of it by finding Bigfoot!🫈 Michelle has wanted one of these trucks since she was like 10
years old. She was gushing the whole time we were there. Made it to Cuba, MO. Got some pics of the sign in the rain and hunkered down at the tiny little Walmart where we bought Rummikub. We all hung out in the big white bus and played a few games before bed.

We even welcome tents for those who haven't yet found or completed their rig.
Vans, Skoolies, Rv's, Travel Trailers, Airstreams, car campers, shuttle buses, ambulances, firetrucks, tiny houses, we've seen them all.
