Join us tonight as our 7th period Musical Theatre Production class takes the MAC stage for their Spring Showcase! Tonight’s performance features senior directed group numbers, duets, and solos.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free and we hope to see you there!

Join us tomorrow, May 8 at 6 p.m. in the Melissa Arts Center as we present public performances of our Spring shows!

Studio Company will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. with a public performance of their class show.

Then the Blackbox Company will take the stage at 7 p.m. with their production of “Wild Strawberries.”

The Mainstage Company will conclude the evening with their production of “Peter and the Starcatcher.”

Admission is free for all three shows, and we hope to see you there!

Today the celebrations continue as we give a HUGE congratulations to senior Jaidah Wilson on her WIN at the 2026 Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards! 🎉 Out of over 100 productions from across the state, Jaidah took home the award for Outstanding Featured Performer for her role in Pippin! ✨

It has been an amazing week for Melissa Theatre with so much to celebrate! To kick off the celebrations, CONGRATULATIONS to our cast and crew of Wild Strawberries on all their successes at their OAP competition this week! 🎉 They took home the following awards and recognitions:

Out of the seven schools competing, the MHS Blackbox Company took home the top award for best show of the competition!

Melissa High School proudly presents our 2026 Blackbox Company One Act Play, “Wild Strawberries” 🍓

Shows are today starting at 1:00 P.M and run back to back. Blackbox Co. performs 4th, and takes the stage at approximately 4:00 at the Melissa Arts Center. Critiques will occur between each production, and awards will be held at the end of the contest.

After an absolutely fierce day of Area competition yesterday, Melissa Theatre was named the alternate school to Region.

Our students gave a beautiful performance, and we could not be more proud of the growth, collaboration, and artistry this company brought to the stage throughout this process. It has been an absolute joy to take this journey with you all!

It’s Area day and we are so ready for a magical and beautiful day of theatre!!!! ⭐️ We perform third today at Lebanon Trail High School. Shows begin at 10 a.m. and run back to back. We should perform around 12 p.m., but plan to arrive early!

Lebanon Trail HS has also asked us to share the following information:
The city of Frisco will be blocking off OHIO and the east side of Lebanon Road from 5am until 11:15 due to a race in the area. In order to access the parking lot in front of our Auditorium, use the road on the side of DUTCH BROS COFFEE that will have an open gate where you can enter. After 11:15, the normal entry points can be used.

Join us this Saturday, April 11 at Lebanon Trail High School for an incredible day of theatre as we compete at the UIL One Act Play Area contest.

Melissa Theatre will perform 3rd, with an estimated performance time of 12:00 PM. Make plans to arrive early!

Important traffic update from Lebanon Trail HS:
