Simon Kirke of Bad Company. Chris Redd of Saturday Night Live. Boston comedy royalty Lenny Clarke, Tony V, and Steve Sweeney. Plus Woody Giessmann (The Del Fuegos), Jim Mayer (Jimmy Buffett's Coral Re**er Band), Dave Herlihy (O Positive), and special guests.

What would it feel like to have an afternoon that was deliberately unhurried?

Forest bathing is a slow, mindful practice of spending time in nature through the senses. There’s a little gentle walking, but the distances are short and there’s no pace to keep. And despite the name, and our proximity to the Charles, no actual bathing is involved.

It’s simply an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in the natural world.
If you need a sign to pause for a while and be cocooned within the comfort of the trees, this is it.

As the landscape enters a season of transition, join us along the Charles River trails at Bellforge. Taking place just after the fall equinox, Balance in Nature: Forest Bathing is an invitation to pause alongside the changing landscape and notice the beauty of impermanence unfolding around us.

Meet at the parking lot overlooking the Charles River, at the back of the Medfield State Hospital campus.

Main Street Live Artist Spotlight: Jake Swamp and The Pine

Genre: Americana / folk-rock

Jake Swamp and the Pine is an Americana band born out of Boston, led by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Drew Zieff. Their songs range from powerful acoustic anthems to knee-slapping hoedowns to slow, somber waltzes, drawing on folk, bluegrass, and jam-band traditions. Multiple-time Boston Music Award nominees, they have shared the stage with artists like Alanis Morissette, Trampled by Turtles, The Wood Brothers, and Ziggy Marley, building a devoted fan community they call “The Pine.”

Main Street Live Artist Spotlight: Nate Perry & Ragged Company

For fans of: Jason Isbell, Drive-By Truckers, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Genre: Americana / roots-rock

A Boston-based group that finds its inspiration from the rootsier end of the American music spectrum, lining their work with acoustic guitars and bluesy riffs that can feel anthemic and ready for a big crowd. Fronted by Nate Perry, who formed the band after leaving the Army and returning to Boston, the group has been lighting up the local scene with guitar-driven Americana-rock. Their latest release, Till the Well Runs Dry, leans harder into alt-rock energy without losing its Americana core. Performed at Boston Calling Music Festival in 2025.

Main Street Live Artist Spotlight: Dominic Lavoie

Genre: Indie singer-songwriter / roots-rock

Dominic Lavoie is a Portland, Maine singer, songwriter, and producer with seven albums, two EPs, and a self directed music film to his name. His latest record, Round Trip, reunites him with Grammy-winning producer Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Deer Tick). A lifelong musician, he has shared stages with Los Lobos, Guster, Dr. Dog, and Rayland Baxter, and runs his own studio producing and mixing artists alongside his own music.
