We’re excited to welcome KIKI Ayers, joining us from Los Angeles, California, to the 2026 Conference for Women on October 29 for: From Surviving to Scaling: How to Build a Business When You Don’t Have a Blueprint

After experiencing homelessness, Kiki went on to build a multimillion-dollar PR firm without the traditional resources, connections, or roadmap many assume are necessary for success. And she’s coming to Central Pennsylvania to share the hard-earned lessons behind that journey.

Kiki will talk candidly about recognizing opportunity, building credibility when you’re starting with very little, knowing your worth, creating strategic visibility, and making the decisions that allow a business to grow and scale.

Today, on 9/11, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and the countless acts of courage that emerged on one of America’s darkest days.

As part of our Women Who Built the Fabric of America series, today we honor Captain Kathy Mazza.

Captain Mazza was one of the highest-ranking women in the Port Authority Police Department and the first woman to command the Port Authority Police Academy. On September 11, 2001, she entered the North Tower and helped evacuate people to safety. According to accounts from that day, she used her service weapon to break through a large glass wall, helping create another way for people to escape.

Captain Mazza lost her life when the tower collapsed, becoming the first female Port Authority Police officer killed in the line of duty.

Her courage, leadership, service, and ultimate sacrifice are threads forever woven into the fabric of America.

Today, we remember Captain Kathy Mazza and all those whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
