Hailing from the Ozarks of Central Missouri, Miguel Ramirez is an avid outdoorsman, researcher, and the creator of the popular YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory, which has grown to more than 130,000 subscribers.

Raised hunting whitetail deer and exploring the remote wilderness of the Ozarks, Miguel spent years experiencing strange and unexplained events deep in the woods. Everything changed after what he believes was a direct encounter with a clan of Sasquatch on his own property—an experience that launched him into a relentless search for answers.

Today, Miguel travels some of the most remote regions of the Ozarks and beyond, documenting eyewitness encounters, conducting field investigations, collecting audio evidence, and sharing his research with a rapidly growing audience. Known for his boots-on-the-ground approach and passion for uncovering the truth, he has become one of the most recognizable rising voices in the Bigfoot community.

Guest Speaker: Harley Owens

Raised in the mountains of East Tennessee, Harley Owens spent much of his life hunting, fishing, and exploring the Appalachian wilderness. Everything changed in September 2020 when a startling encounter near Pound, Virginia led to the discovery of massive footprints and strange, unexplained vocalizations deep in the woods. The experience challenged everything he thought he knew and sparked a personal journey into the world of cryptid research.

After stepping away from the outdoors for several years, Harley returned to the field in late 2023 with a renewed determination to uncover answers. Since then, he has documented multiple encounters through footprints, photographs, audio recordings, and firsthand observations involving both Bigfoot and Dogman reports throughout the Smoky Mountains and greater Appalachian region.

Harley is the founder of Owens Outdoors: Smoky Mountain Cryptids, a rapidly growing research community dedicated to investigating and documenting cryptid activity across Appalachia. Through social media, field investigations, and public appearances, he shares evidence, experiences, and research with a focus on honesty, transparency, and boots-on-the-ground investigation.

His work and encounters have been featured on popular podcasts and platforms including Strangeology, The Confessionals, Beyond BMR, and Bigfoot Society, where he discusses his remarkable experiences, field methods, and evolution from outdoorsman to active cryptid investigator.

Guest Speaker: Darrell Denton “The Tennessee Bigfoot Man”

Speaking on the subjects of Bigfoot, Dogman, and other cryptid hominids!

Darrell Denton, founder of one of the largest online cryptid communities on social media, Bigfoot Believers and Other Creatures, has spent more than three decades investigating some of Tennessee’s strangest and most terrifying encounters.

Born and raised in Tennessee, Darrell’s life changed forever in November of 1992 while hunting on his grandfather’s Cannon County farm. Sitting 25 feet high in a deer stand, he came face-to-face with what he describes only as a “monster” moving through the woods below him. The experience shook him so deeply that he avoided the woods for years afterward.

Roughly seven years later, another encounter—this time along the Cumberland River—pulled him back into the mystery. Since then, Darrell has dedicated his life to researching and documenting encounters involving Bigfoot, Dogman, and other unexplained creatures across Tennessee and beyond.

Over the years, Darrell has worked alongside respected researchers including Martin Groves, Barton Nunnelly, Ron Morehead, and Billy Howell, investigating active areas and collecting eyewitness accounts, evidence, and firsthand experiences.

After nearly 32 years in the field, Darrell remains convinced of one thing:

“There are monsters in Tennessee.”

Guest Speaker: Chester Moore

Chester Moore is an award-winning wildlife journalist, investigator, conservationist, and author with decades of experience exploring the mysteries of the outdoors.

He is the author of 15 books, including the expanded edition of Bigfoot South: Examining Cryptozoology’s Greatest Mystery in the Southern United States, and served as Editor-in-Chief of Texas Fish & Game magazine.

Chester is the host of the popular Dark Outdoors podcast, which explores true crime, strange encounters, cryptids, and human-wildlife conflict, as well as the YouTube channel Chester Moore Wildlife Journalist & Investigator, where he investigates Bigfoot reports, unexplained activity in America’s wilderness areas, and the mystery surrounding feral humans in the South.

His work has been featured across numerous television networks, including Animal Planet, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Destination America, and The Outdoors Channel.

Guest Speaker: Tim "Coonbo" Baker

Tim “Coonbo” Baker is a longtime Bigfoot and paranormal researcher with more than 50 years of experience investigating Sasquatch, cryptids, UFOs, and unexplained phenomena. Raised on a family farm in northwest Alabama, Tim reports having his first encounter with a “Booger” or “Catamount” — now commonly referred to as Bigfoot or Sasquatch — before the age of three, with continued experiences occurring throughout his life.

By age 12, Tim successfully called a Bigfoot to him using only vocalizations, and by 1975 had begun formally researching the Sasquatch phenomenon. His interests later expanded into Dogman reports, UFO activity, archaeological mysteries, and other unexplained subjects.

Tim’s professional background is equally remarkable. He studied Civil Engineering at Auburn University and Electrical Engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville before working as a test engineer for a major government Research, Development, Test & Evaluation contractor. During his career, he contributed to projects involving NASA, the Department of Defense, the nuclear industry, and Army Missile Command while holding both Nuclear “Q” and Top Secret security clearances. He also served in Mission Control during multiple Space Shuttle missions, including the Challenger mission.

Combining decades of technical expertise with field investigation, Tim has worked to apply science and technology to the study of cryptids and anomalous phenomena. His research into infrasound and ultrasound in relation to Sasquatch behavior is considered pioneering within the field, and he has spent decades investigating reports across the United States, including notable Dogman cases associated with the Land Between the Lakes region.

Today, Tim continues to share his lifelong experiences, research, and theories with audiences interested in one of the world’s most enduring mysteries.

Due to how many Speakers we have lined up for the Con this year, we will be showcasing posts about them on Tuesdays and Fridays going further.

That said, the first Guest Speaker that the Tennessee Wildman Con is proud to welcome is legendary Bigfoot researcher M.K. Davis to the 2026 event!

M.K. Davis will be speaking on the subject of Bigfoot and the always controversial—and endlessly debated—Patterson/Gimlin Film.

Widely regarded as one of the most respected voices in modern Sasquatch research, M.K. Davis has spent more than 30 years investigating one of the world’s greatest mysteries. Known for his groundbreaking work analyzing and enhancing the famous Patterson/Gimlin footage, Davis has dedicated decades to uncovering details hidden within the film that most people have never seen.

Long before entering the world of cryptid research, Davis developed an extensive background in astrophotography, mastering the art of capturing faint celestial objects through advanced photographic techniques. That technical expertise would eventually lead him down an unexpected path after viewing exceptionally high-quality frames from the Patterson/Gimlin film—frames that revealed details far beyond what television specials and documentaries had shown the public.

What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a lifelong investigation.

Through years of research, analysis, and film enhancement, M.K. Davis has become one of the most influential and talked-about figures in the Bigfoot community, challenging audiences to take a deeper look at the evidence surrounding the Sasquatch phenomenon.
