IT'S NOT TOO LATE!
PACIFIC NORTHWEST PLAY FEST--CALL FOR NEW WORK
Centralia College and the Northwest Playwrights Alliance will host the PACIFIC NORTHWEST PLAY FEST, a festival of short work presented on Centralia College's campus in Centralia, WA. PNW Play Fest will feature 6 original short plays from PNW playwrights and plays with a connection to the PNW.
The festival will be held on the Centralia College campus from Feb 26-March 7. Deadline to submit is October 15, 2026.
Because the focus of this festival is the Pacific Northwest, preference will be given to: playwrights currently residing in the Pacific Northwest, playwrights with a meaningful connection to the PNW, and/or plays set in the Pacific Northwest. Plays should be 10 minutes (approximately) in length and not have premiered in the PNW yet (regional productions elsewhere are permissible; national premieres are preferable).
Works selected will be fully produced by Centralia College, in the Wickstrom Studio Theatre, on the main campus in Centralia, Washington for two weekends: Feb 26-March 7. (A live stream option will be available for out of towners.) Centralia is located in Lewis County, WA between Seattle and Portland. The term "PNW" used here includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia. Playwrights will be contacted by mid-December notifying the of the decision of the judges. Playwrights who are invited to participate will receive a stipend of $100.
Each play should be no more than 15 minutes in length and less than 6 characters. Plays that are approximately 10 minutes and with 1-4 characters have a greater chance of being produced. Plays with minimal scene requirements are also more likely to be included in this festival.

In keeping with the Dramatists Guild best practices, there are NO FEES for submissions. Only one play per playwright, will be considered, however. Plays will be considered on a BLIND basis, so please remove your name from the text itself. A title page with the name of your play is required but it will be removed during the selection process. Any play which does not adhere to the guidelines will not be considered.
Deadline: October 15, 2026 or when we reach our submission cap of 200.
