From music to film, McAllen is making its mark on Texas’ creative industries 🎬

The City of McAllen has officially been designated a Film Friendly Texas Certified Community by the Texas Film Commission, joining more than 200 communities across the state that are equipped to welcome and support film, television, commercial, and digital media productions.

Already recognized as a Music Friendly Texas community, McAllen now holds both Music Friendly Texas and Film Friendly Texas certifications, further showcasing the city’s commitment to growing its creative economy and attracting new opportunities to the Rio Grande Valley.

From its vibrant binational culture to its unique South Texas locations, the RGV is ready for a close-up.
