🎀 OWE Members, let’s fill these Warrior Kits!

OWE is proud to partner with the Titis Tatas Foundation to support women going through chemotherapy with Warrior Kits filled with comfort, care, and encouragement.

We’re asking each member to choose an item (or a few!) from our donation list and BRING YOUR DONATION TO OUR NEXT OWE LUNCHEON. 🩷

We’re collecting:

✨ Travel-size hand sanitizer & wipes
✨ Individual healthy snacks & trail mix
✨ Chapstick & ginger chews
✨ Coloring books & colored pencils
✨ Crossword/puzzle books
✨ Kleenex & under-eye patches
✨ Cozy socks — pink or breast cancer designs preferred
✨ Pink blankets

Simply bring your donated items with you to the OWE luncheon, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Every item, big or small, is an opportunity to remind a woman in our community that she is supported, thought of, and surrounded by women who care.

The story you almost overlooked may be the one someone else has been waiting to hear.

That belief drives everything Eliza M. Garza does. She is an international award-winning author and the founder of Mija Media House, the South Texas publishing house that has helped launch more than twenty-five bestselling authors.

Eliza is our speaker on Thursday, October 15. If you have ever thought about writing the book, telling the story, or stepping onto a bigger stage, this is the luncheon to attend.

We meet at the DoubleTree Suites in McAllen, with doors at 11:30 and the program at noon. Early bird pricing is $30 for members and $35 for guests through Monday, October 12, at 5pm.

Guests are welcome. Tag the woman whose story needs to be told.

She's the Latina woman who helped you get where you are. For some of us, that's a mom or a tía. For others, it's the first boss who took a chance on us.

Today is International Translation Day, which feels like a holiday made for the Valley.

Most of us switch between English and Spanish all day without thinking about it. We send emails in one language, take calls in the other, and sometimes use both in the same sentence. Clients notice, and it's a real advantage here.
