Good Afternoon Family,

Happy New Year. We have lost a few family members this past year which has inspired me to send this email. I was reflecting on all of the changes the pandemic has brought and compiled of list of yearly events I used to look forward to. One was the family reunion. We lost our family historian Christeen Anderson this year who was a centenarian. While COVID has changed the way we meet, gather, & communicate, it has not changed our ability to use technology to stay connected and traced.

I encourage everyone to create a free trial account on ancestry.com just to upload information into the Loftis Family Tree. All you need is the names as close to accurate as possible. You don't need to know birth or death dates as it will verify as more people add. I also have attached an old directory from 1992 to aid you in the process. I promise that once you start, you will want to keep trying. Please make sure you cancel your trial before the end date. You will only need a couple of days to casually input info.
For those of you who would like access to the Loftis Family Tree, please send me a separate email with the email address you are using for ancestry to [email protected]. I will send you a link to work and you can go from there.

Due to the lack of participation and initial interest, we regretfully announce 2019 Chicago will be cancelled. We will continue to work hard to host another reunion in the near future. Please encourage your loved ones to learn more about their family. In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future. We open the opportunity to any Loftis Family member who would like to host it in their own way.

We are approaching the time to our final Loftis Family Reunion Event. Although the hotel block has been fulfilled, it is not too late to book at The Embassy or any neighboring hotel in downtown Huntsville.
