Today is a day of remembrance. At sunrise, the flag is raised to the top of the staff and then lowered to half-staff, where it remains until noon, when it's raised back to full staff, symbolizing the nation's enduring spirit through the sacrifice of its heroes. We extend our gratitude to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

🌳 3rd Annual Arbor Day Celebration 🌳

Today was a beautiful day to celebrate the 3rd Annual Arbor Day Celebration at the town Heroes Memorial at the Mayville Cemetery. The sunshine made for the perfect setting as a Pink Flair Cherry Tree was planted in honor of the occasion.

This meaningful event highlighted the importance of trees in our community, and reinforced our shared commitment to environmental stewardship. The Mayville Tree Advisory Committee provided small trees for everyone who attended, along with education on proper tree planting and care, helping ensure these trees will thrive for generations to come.

This event was proudly sponsored by the Village of Mayville and the Mayville Tree Advisory Committee. Thank you to everyone who joined us to help make Mayville a little greener! 🌱
