Just a heads up as there seems to be some confusion, the SIMON KENTON FESTIVAL is still on.

Only the Simon Kenton Ruck was cancelled.

While the SKR IV had to be called off, everyone should still pick up the weight vest, rucksack, barbell, fridge, or something heavy and carry it for some distance this weekend.

Ryan, Blake, and I were stoked to see this year's turnout and to give these shirts out.

We will make it possible somehow, some way once all this settles.

A huge thanks to everyone that registered. Please keep local law enforcement in mind and prayer today as they continue the search for the escapee. Carry if you can, just in case. I am.

ATTENTION: This year's Simon Kenton Ruck has been cancelled.

Due to circumstances surrounding the recently escaped inmate from the Brown County Jail, this decision has been made for participant safety and to allow law enforcement to continue their search unimpeded.

The escaped inmate is believed to be armed with a rifle and was facing charges on attempted murder, felonious assault and having weapons under disability.

Refunds will be issued to those that registered. Thank you for participating and supporting this event for the last four years.

Please keep local law enforcement in mind and prayer as they continue their 75+ hour, around the clock search.

A lot goes into the Simon Kenton Ruck from start to finish and it wouldn't happen without much more than half the effort being put in by Mason County's Sheriff Swolsky and the Sheriff's Office.

Ryan and I created SKR for objective good. We felt the event could bring people together towards a worthy cause. I'm proud to have a friend and brother in Ryan. He is a humble and decisive leader. The community of Mason County is safe and protected under his watch.

He's going to hate that I made this post but it deserves to be said. 😆
