Once it freezes over, Great Sacandaga Lake is a terrific spot to find steady wind and good snow conditions. This year we have not formally organized the Rally for any particular weekend. We urge all aspiring snow kiters to go to the Broadalbin boat ramp and discover this incredible spot when time allows. It goes for miles and the views are extraordinary. May you get fair winds and fluffy powder for winter 2020.

Heavy drifting on ice roads has left hundreds of ice anglers stuck across Lake Mille Lacs. The snow is so deep vehicles can't get back to the mainland, leaving those stuck keeping a worried eye on their propane and food supplies.
