🌶️🔥 INTRODUCING THE FIRST-EVER SKY HIGH CHILI COOK-OFF! 🔥🌶️

Do you make great chili?

Or do you know someone who does?

As part of the 2026 Sky High Aerospace Expo & Fly-In, we’re excited to launch the very first Sky High Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport!

Because this is our first year, we wanted to make it fun, welcoming, and easy for anyone to be part of.

That means:

✅ FREE registration
✅ Individuals or groups welcome
✅ No cook-off experience required
✅ People’s Choice + Judged Awards
✅ Prizes, trophies, and bragging rights
✅ Looking for around 10 great entries

You don’t have to be a professional chef.

You don’t have to be part of a restaurant or organization.

You can enter as an individual, with family, friends, coworkers, your business, your church, your department, your club — whoever wants to join in and have some fun.

This cook-off is all about community, good food, friendly competition, and creating another great experience at Sky High.

And the best part?

The public gets to be part of it too. Attendees will have the chance to sample entries and vote for their favorite in our People’s Choice Award.

So if you’ve got a chili recipe people rave about — or you know someone who does — we want to hear from you.

🚨 **KNOW BEFORE YOU GO — PROHIBITED ITEMS AT SKY HIGH** ✈️

As we get closer to the **Sky High Aerospace Expo**, we want to make sure everyone knows what can — and cannot — be brought onto the event grounds for our main public airshow day.

For the safety of our guests, performers, volunteers, and aircraft, the following items are **not permitted**:

🔫 Weapons
🍺 Outside alcohol
🚫 Illegal drugs
🎆 Fireworks
🚁 Drones
🧊 Coolers
🍾 Glass containers
🔦 Laser pointers
🐕 Pets *(service animals are permitted)*

🚭 **Smoking and va**ng are also prohibited in restricted areas.**

Please also remember that **all bags, strollers, and personal items are subject to inspection** when entering the event.

🏕️ **CAMPING AT SKY HIGH!** ✈️

Planning to make a weekend out of the **Sky High Aerospace Expo & Fly-In**? We’ve got camping space available for you!

Whether you’re bringing an **RV, camper, motorhome, or tent**, you can stay right there with us and enjoy the full Sky High weekend experience. 🙌

⚠️ **One important thing to know before you arrive:**

Our camping area is **DRY CAMPING ONLY**.

Because of the setup at the airport, we **do not and cannot provide hookups of any kind**, including:

🔌 Electrical hookups
💧 Water hookups
🚽 Sewer hookups

That means all campers must be prepared to be **completely self-sufficient for the duration of their stay**. If you need power, water, or other camping utilities, please plan accordingly and bring what you need with you.

We want everyone to know ahead of time so you can arrive prepared, get settled in, and spend the weekend enjoying the airplanes instead of worrying about camping logistics!
