At first glance, you’ll see the Patriot Half front design honoring two decades of racing. But open it up, and you’ll discover a custom compass—symbolizing the journey every athlete takes to reach this start line and the direction, determination, and grit it takes to reach the finish.

Inside, you’ll also find the official 2026 USAT Long Course National Championship branding, commemorating a truly historic day for New England triathlon.

This isn’t just a finisher medal. It’s a keepsake from a race 20 years in the making.

I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Triathlete Magazine today, with the main focus being the Patriot Half and what makes it such a special race. We covered everything from the course and competition to the growth of Outsider Endurance, but one topic really stood out to me — family.

They asked about the family element behind Patriot & Outsider, and honestly, that’s the part that means the most to me. I’m beyond proud that Addy will be back as our DJ/announcer this year, and that my son Hudson will be working his very first race with us.

While race day will center around crowning national champions, I know I’ll also take a few moments to appreciate what these events truly mean to me personally. Having my family there, watching my kids grow up around this community, and sharing these moments together is something I’ll never take for granted.

35 days until the Patriot Half, now is the time to start dialing in your bike.

Please don’t wait until race week to address maintenance, fit issues, worn tires, shifting problems, or questionable brakes. While we’ll have bike support on site, it’s intended for minor, last-minute emergencies only — not major repairs or full tune-ups.

A well-prepared bike makes for a safer, faster, and far less stressful race day.

One of the best parts of race day isn’t the finish line… it’s getting to celebrate the people who showed up and earned it.

From first timers to podium finishers, every athlete out there has a story behind that medal. Early mornings, tough training days, doubts, sacrifices, breakthroughs. That’s what these moments represent.

Grateful to be able to build events where this community can come together, compete hard, and celebrate each other.
