🎓 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🎓

Elizabeth Bright sang in the Concert Choir all six semesters of her academic career, traveling with the choir for three domestic tours in that time. Elizabeth graduated this spring with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Art.

Throughout her time with the choir, Elizabeth has been known for her humor and work ethic, and engaged in leadership roles across many choral performances and events. On tour, Elizabeth could often be seen throwing heavy luggage bags on and off the bus at every stop with maximum effort and no complaints. Congratulations to Elizabeth and to all of our seniors!

🎓 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🎓

Jackie Manning has completed her final semester in their Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, with an emphasis on Organ, and a minor in Religion. For all eight semesters, they have been involved in Concert Choir, Off Kilter, and Lads & Lassies. While in the choirs, Jackie toured a total of five times, including four domestic tours and one tour to Scotland in 2023. She has also been involved in the Leadership Team, having served as a Choir Mentor, the Community & Belonging Chair, Social Media Manager, Faith & Learning Chair, and a section leader for the Tenor and Bass sections. In addition to her service on the Leadership Team, Jackie has served as a student conductor and an organist & accompanist. Outside of choir, Jackie was an MC Chapel Fellow, a Resident Assistant, and was involved with the theatre program. Jackie is also one of the recipients of the Concert Choir's Barraclough award for her outstanding service and dedication to the choir and success as a student.

When asked about her time in the choirs at Maryville College, she answered:
"These ensembles have meant the world to me and have ensured that I’ve made the most out of these past four years. I'm sure that, when I'm approaching senility in sixty or so years, my most vivid memories will be of the MC Concert Choir and its subsidiary ensembles. I thank each and every one of you all for making me the most well-loved person someone could ever ask to be!"

From local stages all the way back to SCOTLAND FOREVER, [I] will never forget the blessings from each small moment, especially on tour. Every person here is special in their own way, and neither will I forget the hearts who came to listen to us sing and become one.” Thank you Anna!
