Open Class is returning to the Union County Fair! Thanks to the support of Pathways Financial Credit Union. Community members can review the available 2026 Open Class categories and begin preparing their entries. Online entry forms will be available after May 11, 2026.

Important Dates:
Entries Open: After May 11, 2026
Entry Deadline: Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 9:00 PM
Drop-Off: Saturday, July 25, 2026, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Location: Merchant Building 2
Judging: Sunday, July 26, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM
Entry Release/Premium Pickup: Sunday, August 2, and Monday, August 3, 11:00 AM–4:00 PM

We are super excited to announce that we will be honoring the history of the fair and all the extraordinary people that have made it happen for the past 180 years!!!!!!! We are asking for help from the community to make the Heritage Hall an amazing addition to our fair this year. If you are a family that was apart of this great heritage, and would like to share that family history with the community please get ahold of us with what you would like to share. There are so many new members of this great town that may not know this great story of our fair. Please help us share all of this. The union county fair board thanks you in advance to make this celebration of history happen.

We invite you to join us for a fun-filled evening featuring a fully catered dinner 🍽️, a Reverse Raffle 🎟️, Live Auction 🎉, Silent Auction 🛍️, Bingo 🎲, and our First Annual Champion Drive Race 🏁.

**Evening Goals:**

Our primary objective is to raise funds for the installation of new ceiling fans in the Rabbit and Poultry Barn 🐇🐔. This improvement will enhance the comfort of both exhibitors and animals during the Junior Fair, providing a more enjoyable experience for the community during the Junior Fair Sale 🛒.

Additionally, the Horse Council needs 10 more stalls for their program 🐎, along with addressing various other general needs of the Junior Fair and the Agricultural Society 🌾.
