Dance Works Festival Bringing the dancing community - professionals, directors, teachers and students - in one place! DANCE WORKS because we work together!

Originally started by the Berkeley Arts Council and the Berkeley Co. Parks and Recreation and now sustained by Musselman Theatre, Inc., DANCE WORKS is a tradition in Berkeley County, WV for dozens of young dance students to gather in the spring for a festival of instruction and performance. Dancers from the four state region of WV, VA, MD and PA come together to increase their performance abilities, work for scholarships for colleges and camps, and feature their abilities on the stage. Professional instruction is given in classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, hiphop and more! Every year is a little different with professors and experts sharing their unique talents with the student participants. On the Sunday afternoon, the DANCE WORKS Gala Performance will feature students and performers from the area perform for parents, friends and the public to enjoy. The evening is wrapped up with scholarships given out to student participants to further their instruction in dance.

We are so excited to announce that we have been asked to host the auditions for the United European Ballet Company's performance of Swan Lake! 🦢

Dancers from any studio aged 5-18 are invited to participate. Dancers will be selected by the UEBC's staff and will perform in supporting roles in the October 22 performance of Swan Lake at The Maryland Theatre.

Audition Information:
When - Monday, August 10 at 5:30pm. Check in will begin at 5pm.
Where- RNM Dance Studio 85 Lynn Haven Dr, Suite B, Martinsburg, WV 25404
Who- Any dancer from any studio aged 5-18
How much- Audition fee of $25 if registered in advance. $35 day of registration fee. Selected dancers fee of $75 which includes choreography rehearsals, dress rehearsal, costume fittings, and costume rental.
When are rehearsals - Sunday evenings at RNM, tentatively from 6:00-7:00 or 7:00-8:00 August 16-October 11.
