WHAT ARE YOU TAKING AWAY FROM THE PLAYOFF BASEBALL! Listen and learn!

Too many hitters hear ‘two strikes’ and turn their best swing into a defensive poke. Compete with a smaller move not a smaller belief.”

Two strikes doesn’t mean panic. Shorten the move, protect your zone and keep your competitive intent. Battle for one more pitch. ⚾️🔥

A big thank-you to Jonron.com .com for having me on TikTok Live today! ⚾️

We had a great conversation about baseball, the excitement of the playoffs, and how much young players can learn by watching the game. From seeing how teams handle different situations to noticing how pitchers approach each batter, every game offers a chance to build baseball IQ.

I also enjoyed talking about my father and how our family continues to keep his legacy alive by sharing his story and shining a light on his dedication to help the youth use this game to learn life lessons, not to mention his accomplishments between the lines.

Thank you Carlos and the jonron team for having me. I enjoyed the conversation and can’t wait until next time! 🙌

⚾️ The front shoulder matters at the plate.

As the pitch comes in, keep your front shoulder closed and your eyes on the ball. If that shoulder flies open too early, your head and body can pull away from the pitch—making it harder to stay balanced and make solid contact.

Stay connected, track the ball, and let your hips and shoulders rotate through the swing when it’s time to attack. The goal isn’t to stay closed forever; it’s to avoid opening up before you’re ready.

Build a strong position, then rotate with purpose. 💥

What’s one hitting cue that helps you stay on the ball?

What a special day at the Orlando Cepeda Academy! I was honored to be a guest speaker and spend time with the kids and their parents, sharing stories about my father’s legacy in baseball and the impact youth sports can have on young people and their communities.

Seeing the excitement, energy, and love for the game in these kids made the day even more meaningful. My father believed in giving back and being there for young athletes, and I’m proud to help carry that spirit forward through the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who made me feel welcome. I’m grateful for the opportunity, proud of what the Orlando Cepeda Academy represents, and already looking forward to the next one! ⚾️🧡 thank you to the San Francisco Giants for all the support.
