Is Grandma's kitchen getting a little too crowded? Or maybe you just don't feel like cleaning your entire house before AND after everyone comes over.

We've got you covered!

We still have openings Thanksgiving week and plenty of dates throughout December! We welcome small business Christmas parties, family gatherings, Friendsgiving, holiday dinners, and more!

And YES, we're available on Thanksgiving Day, BlackChristmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day! No extra holiday fees!

💰 Rental rates start at:
• Hourly – $90/hour (3-hour minimum)
• Half-day (6 hours) – $500
• Full-day (12 hours) – $950

Weekend rates vary. Hourly rentals can be booked within 45 days of your event.

Intimate Celebrations That Feel Full, Beautiful, and Stress-Free

We are still needing some models! Come get FREE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS! And snacks ... it's literally a win win.

MODEL CALL!

We’re putting together a styled wedding shoot at Southside Acres Wedding & Event Center on SEPTEMBER 17TH, and we need to fill a whole wedding!

Backup/Rain Date: September 24th
You MUST be available for BOTH dates.

WE NEED 2–4 COUPLES TO GET “MARRIED!”

Maybe you didn’t get the wedding photos you wanted, had a courthouse wedding or elopement, are celebrating an anniversary — or you just want to dress up and get FREE professional wedding photos. ;)

Couples arrive at 5 PM in wedding attire and COME READY! We’ll stage a few “getting ready” moments in our upstairs suites, followed by mock ceremonies, wedding party photos and portraits around the property.

WE ALSO NEED 25–50 WEDDING GUESTS!

Guests arrive at 6 PM.

Families, couples, singles, kids, grandparents — ALL AGES! We want this shoot to showcase that Southside Acres is truly a venue for everyone.

We would especially love to include guests who use a wheelchair, walker or cane so we can showcase our concrete walkways and accessible spaces.

Basically... come attend a pretend wedding! 😂 Eat, drink, mingle, dance, have fun and get FREE professional photos while you’re here!

Heck, bring the whole extended family and get a free family photo while everyone is dressed up. ;)

We also need a wedding party, flower girls and ring bearers! You can absolutely double as a guest AND wedding party. Little kids, grandparents — we're open to having some fun with it. If Grandma wants to be the flower girl, I’m here for it. 😂

We’ll be shooting INDOORS AND OUTDOORS to showcase the WHOLE venue, and we’ll have a florist plus some other fun things planned!

WHAT TO WEAR: Think early fall wedding — fall colors, jewel tones and earthy colors. A final color palette will be sent once everything is nailed down.

Everyone must sign a model release. Photos/video may be used for advertising by Southside Acres, Abigail Troy Photography and participating vendors/businesses.

Better photos to come once it's fully done but guess what we are up to this weekend?

We're hanging up lights!

These lights are so cool too. They can "dance" to the music, stay a solid color, change colors, or be regular lights. We have a bunch to hang still (by we, I mean Anthony. Let's be real. I did help a little but he's the real mvp)

We had a photographer from the Springfield Business Journal out at Southside Acres Wedding & Event Center today to photograph the venue, property, and Anthony and me for an upcoming feature! They came this morning and I am excited to see their piece on us.

After spending so many years being the one taking the photos, being on the OTHER side of the camera definitely felt strange. But I’m so excited to see everything come together and even more excited to see the article when it comes out!

It’s pretty cool getting to share a little more about what we’ve created here and the story behind Southside Acres. ❤️

Now we wait for the photos AND the article!

Guess what!! The fire pit area is coming along. It's not 100% done but it's getting there!

We have custom benches coming (Thanks to the husband, he's too dang handy), some landscaping, and basic clean up but it's going to be amazing 👏 🤩

String lights are coming next!

If you're needing a last minute venue for Oct or Nov we do have some options for some prime dates for fall!

Just think of the amazing outdoor parties with this new area.

Today an October 2026 elopment and then an August 2028 wedding

Last night we had a beautiful simple "just us" elopement here. These are just quick phone snap shots. I made all the floral for this arch based off their requests. The final photos are still to come after I edit them.

This couple booked a simple elopement here and then next year they are doing the Signature wedding with everyone but in the patio area. They'll have the full venue for their anniversary wedding with their family and friends.

We wanted to change it up a little for the elopement so it's not the same as next year's. They selected the field for last night.
