Although the community center is open for use, there is still work that needs to be done. Now the work begins to make the community center a fun and exciting place for our community. We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join a board and make this a success. Be the change that you want to see for your community.

A great time was had at the grand reopening. This is a reminder that the job is not done. It is now time for the community to get involved and put the community center to use for the community. Be the change you want to see in your community.

As we close 2025, wanted to provide a recap of the year and the plan for 2026.
2025 Recap
Handicap parking added
Successful Gumbo sale
Donations received from various donors
Installation of ac/heating
Fire marshall and Bldg inspection approved

2026 projects
Complete the parking lot
Purchase and install appliances
Purchase tables and chairs
Purchase insurance for bldg
Create a board to manage the center
Open the Hickory Hill Community Center

As you can see there are still things that need to be done in order to open or community center and we are still in need your help through donations, ideas and volunteerism.

Please speak with one of the planning council members to see how you can help make the community center a reality. Looking forward to a successful 2026.
