👋 Homeless to Home here! Please bear with us as leadership shifts and we work out the next steps. While we as a rescue are already busy, please have patience while we work out communications for all Woods related inquiries.

We do want to add some extra clarity, if you have already booked an event with us, you are welcome to have your event at the day & time you booked! We are NOT canceling your event unless you choose to.

We are thankful for each and every one of you who have booked an event or are considering booking!

Our raccoons are working hard behind the scenes to make sure your future events and inquiries are getting the attention you expect! *Bear with us, the raccoons are smart, but we have to teach them a few things 🦝

A last note from Kimberly, Operations Coordinator:

After careful consideration and soul searching, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as Operations Coordinator for The Woods Park & Pavilion, effective immediately.

I will no longer be the primary contact for The Woods, including rentals, tours, vendor inquiries, event questions, payments, or general correspondence.

Until Homeless to Home determines the next steps for managing The Woods, all future communication should be directed to:

The current phone number for The Woods, (740) 396-8228, will no longer be in service.

Any currently scheduled tours will need to be canceled and rescheduled directly with Homeless to Home. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes, especially for anyone who already had time set aside.

For those who currently have rentals on the books, I will be reaching out individually with information about who to contact moving forward and how to handle any remaining rental payments or questions.

With this transition, the Paws & Pumpkins Festival [the 2nd] is also canceled. I will be reaching out individually to those who have already signed up to participate in any part of the event, including vendors, sponsors, volunteers, food trucks, and anyone else involved.

The website will also be going through major changes again during this transition, so please bear with everyone as things are updated.

Thank you to every renter, vendor, food truck, volunteer, sponsor, photographer, small business, and community member I have had the chance to work with during my time with The Woods. I have genuinely appreciated the relationships built, the events planned, and the support shown for both The Woods and Homeless to Home.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.

🚚 Looking for a new spot to set up your food truck? 🍔🌮🍦

We are looking for food trucks interested in stationing themselves in our parking lot!

We’re located right along the heavily traveled Marion-to-Waldo route and see a LOT of daily traffic coming in and out of town.

Think similar to the food trucks that often set up in Walmart or Kroger parking lots — except with a scenic setting and a great cause behind it. 🌲✨

And yes — food trucks are welcome to set up YEAR ROUND, even when The Woods itself is closed for the event season.

💲 There is NO cost to set up.

All we ask is a donation of 10–15% of the day’s profits to benefit Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary. 🐾

We’ll also help advertise your set up by:
📣 Creating / Co-Hosting a Facebook event page
🪧 Putting your info on our roadside sign
🎈 Setting out our big red Tube Dude to catch the attention of drivers passing by (weather permitting)

Any date not booked for a private event rental is open for grabs — 7 days a week. And even if a date IS booked, don’t count it out! We can always discuss it with the renters. Sometimes it turns into a great opportunity to get customers both from passing traffic AND from the private event itself.

Whether you want to pop in for lunch hours, dinner rushes, special weekends, or recurring days, we’d love to connect and help bring more food truck options to the community.
