Ok folks we have some news regarding the next Mile of Madness workout (The Burpee Mile Part Deux)
We have teamed up with the "Ultra Challenge" for this event and we will list what this is below. The Ultra Challenge is hosted by Jason Carver and consists of workouts at three different locations around Atlanta, so the Mile of Madness will be a fourth location for this event.
1) The Burpee Half Mile- This event will start at Lassiter High School as planned at 7:30am and will "only" be a half mile of Burpee Broad Jumps (I'm sure you're all disappointed about that) This will take roughly 60-75 minutes
2) Kennesaw Mountain Challenge- (with weights as an option)
45/60 second interval training consisting of running, reverse squat jumps, reverse duck walks, reverse bear crawls, walking lunges, push-ups and summit sprints up the road of Kennesaw Mountain. This is 5.5 miles (including going back down) and takes roughly 75 minutes
3) Piedmont Park Stair Challenge- An interwoven run and stair challenge with an explosive emphasis on the stairs, hill sprints and a 45 degree 100ft bear crawl to the finish. This is 3.5 miles and takes roughly 60 minutes
4) Stone Mountain Assault Run- Lastly but not least..just run up the mountain, if you need to stop and walk around in place to catch your breath and then run to the next desired checkpoint. But the goal is to "run" up the whole mountain. (Last hill will be ran 3 times) This is 1.2 miles and takes roughly 20-25 minutes
Well there you have it, the date is the same as listed before (Sept 6th) If you were already planning on attending the Burpee Mile and you want to continue on with the rest of this workout with us thats great, if this is too much for you and you only want to do the Burpee Mile that's great too.
