Thanks to Cobb EMC for donating the leftover snacks and water from their annual meeting on Saturday to our friends at Calvary Children's Home! We are still in awe at the number of people who attended Saturday's meeting and stood in line in the rain to receive their fair tickets. We'll see you next week!

Last night at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, we were able to celebrate someone very special to the North Georgia State Fair. At 86 years old, Mr. Charles Hanson set up on location for his 47th fair yesterday. He told us he was just as excited for his 47th fair as he was for his first one!

We have been working to develop a Fair mascot and in discussing ideas we felt it fitting to center it around fair food, and nothing or nobody reminds us of what fair food is all about more than Charles Hanson. We are proud to introduce Hanson the Corndog as the official Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair Mascot. We hope you will be on the lookout for Hanson at this year's fair and make sure to stop by the Palace of Sweets and say hello to our friend Mr. Charles!
