Due to concerns about the ongoing COVID surge, MCURC has made the difficult decision to postpone the Cincinnati Jazz & BBQ Festival scheduled for October 2 and to convert the Madisonville 5k to a virtual race. Given high transmission and hospitalization rates, we do not feel comfortable gathering in-person yet--especially since both events attract large numbers of older residents and children, both vulnerable populations. We encourage anyone interested in running or walking to register for the virtual Madisonville 5k. Participants can run or walk a 5k on their own between September 18-October 3 and upload results on the race registration site. T-shirts and medals will be mailed after October 3. This will continue to support MCURC's future community building efforts. Registration can be found at: https://racepenguin.com/events/madisonville5k/ .
