The Blas been rennovated with exposed adobe walls in kitchen and bedroom, new hand built cupboards from Mexico and vaulted ceilings

Just back from the Blas Payne. Updated the kitchen with corrugated metal ceiling and new lighting.

Lots of great new places to shop--two new antique stores, expansion of another shop--exciting times! Come visit!

just got back from my beautiful little casa in Marathon. The weather was absolutely fabulous--in the 80's during the day--cool mornings and evenings--no humidity. Walking with my puppy and listening to the roosters crow, seeing the mountains in the background--one day a rainbow--visit the Big Bend area and if you want a real adobe casa--let me know!

The M2M Marathon in Marathon, Tx. just took place. One of the ladies who completed the run commented on her stay at my casa:
"We really enjoyed staying at your wonderful little house in Marathon. Everything worked very well. Used the convection oven to heat lasagne and it worked great. Bed in main bedroom was very comfortable as were the twin beds.

Cute little house; I know you must enjoy it so much!

The Blas Payne is a historic adobe home which has been lovingly restored and is only 3 blocks from the center of Marathon. The "Post" park is also only a short distance from the Blas Payne. Called "the best cowboy in west Texas" by the Houston Chronicle, Blas spent his life working ranches in west Texas. His grandfather was one of the original Buffalo Soldiers and a Medal of Honor recipient.
