Apparently, I was a Pretty Linen Freak before I knew I was a Pretty Linen Freak.

Meet Tropical Noir.

I purchased this linen several years ago, long before Pretty Linen Freak had a name—and before I fully understood just how much beautiful linen would become part of the way I design.

Looking back at this table now, I can see it.

The linen wasn't simply covering the table. It was leading the design.

The bold black-and-white pattern. The tropical greenery. The unexpected pop of pink. From there came the tabletop, napkins and all the little details that made the table feel complete.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped thinking of linen as the background and started seeing it as the beginning.

And that design philosophy is a big part of what eventually became the Curated Tablescape Collections by Hope Phillips Co.

So it seems only fitting that Tropical Noir gets one of the first introductions.

Tropical Noir — bold, playful and definitely not interested in blending into the background.

After introducing Pretty Linen Freak, I thought this might be a good place to start.

What exactly is a Curated Tablescape Collection?

Simply put, it's a beautifully designed table without you having to design, source and set up all the individual pieces yourself.

I've thoughtfully paired the linen, tabletop details, napkins and florals to create complete designs that work beautifully together.

You choose the collection that speaks to you. We bring the design to life.

We deliver. We style. We set the table. And after the celebration, we retrieve our inventory.

These collections are especially perfect for showers, intimate celebrations, milestone dinners and hosts who want their tables to feel special—but don't necessarily need full event planning.

And here's something you may not know…

Pretty Linen Freak didn't really start when I gave it a name.

Looking back through my work, I realized I've been drawn to beautiful linen for years. Somewhere along the way, linen stopped being simply something I put on a table and became something I could actually design from.

That's what these collections are about.

I have a confession.

I'm a Pretty Linen Freak. 🤍

Give me a beautiful linen and I can build an entire table around it.

I've always believed that a tablescape doesn't need to be filled with *more* to feel special. Sometimes the right linen does most of the talking.

The texture.
The pattern.
The movement.
The way it completely changes a room before a single flower is placed.

Over the past several months, I've been quietly reimagining part of Hope Phillips Co. around that philosophy.

And now I'm finally ready to introduce you to **Pretty Linen Freak** — the fun little name behind my very serious love of beautiful tables.

Most people see the finished tablescape.
But this is the part I love most.

The quiet moments before guests arrive.
Adjusting details. Layering textures. Stepping back. Refining again. Making sure everything feels intentional.

Designing celebrations has never just been about “decor” for me. It’s about creating an atmosphere people can feel the moment they walk into the room.

So, seeing one of my tablescape designs featured in the Arboreal linen at Wedding Linens Inc was such a meaningful and exciting moment.
