Kids Who Tri Succeed - Children's Triathlon

Swimming, biking, running since 2006. A USAT sanctioned, triathlon race for kids! Fun working towards fitness goals, increasing confidence as a result.

Kids Who Tri Succeed - Children's Triathlon is an annual event in central Connecticut that draws kids from CT, NY and MA to do what they love and get a prize for it! Our Swim/Run/Bike race is held just before kids go back to school every year.

We are inviting all kids who would take part in the duathlon tomorrow to come and run the Fit for a Lifetime 5 k at the same location (350 Collinsville Road), at 8:30 a.m. We are not going to be offering the duathlon, but they will still have the fun of being challenged on a beautiful course and the thrill of reaching a professional finish line. Each finisher will get to break the winner's tape, something they might never get the opportunity to do! They will each still get a goody bag, race t-shirt, bib, finisher medal, free finish photo, yummy refreshments, their name and time in the results, a chance to stand on the podium and win a trophy, and an opportunity to win a raffle prize.

The Kids Who Tri Succeed Duathlon is back this Saturday, 10/29, for 7 - 16-year-olds, on the beautiful stretch of the bike path between Unionville and Burlington!!! The shorter race for 7 - 11-year-olds is at 10:00 and the longer race for 12 - 16-year-olds is at 10:30. These will be preceded by the Fit for a Lifetime 5 k for all ages at 8:30. T-shirts, goody bags, athletic drawstring backpacks, finisher medals, professional photography, refreshments, trophies, a podium and a raffle! Invite friends!! We had to cancel tomorrow’s Kids Who Tri Succeed Triathlon because I was notified yesterday that the bacteria level in the water is excessively high. We're hoping to offer a duathlon in Farmington in the fall .....I'll keep you posted! - Coach Rebecca

Register now for the 16th annual Kids Who Tri Succeed Triathlon, which will be held on Saturday, August 27th!! This year we are also welcoming 15- and 16-year-olds as well as relay teams!! The Kids Who Tri Succeed duathlon is back!!! Saturday May 14th at 8:30 a.m., on the bike path in Unionville. The start and finish are on the grassy area of the big bike path parking lot (350 Collinsville Road). This fun event for 7 - 17-year-olds (EXPANDED AGES) is to help kids fall in love with triathlon-related challenges for life!! There are two different distances, and every kid will get a finisher medal!! We're also providing awards for the top three boys and girls in each age group, as well as free t-shirts, goody bags, refreshments and a raffle. We also have a professional photographer who takes nice action pictures of the kids.
Pre-registration is preferred (www.kidswhotrisucceed.com), but we will accept race-day registrations. Please let me know if you have any questions, and whether you are willing to volunteer. We need lots of volunteers!!! See the attached flyer ... please share it and spread the word! Thank you!!

We are going to postpone the fall duathlon to the spring, and will post here and on the website when the new date is! Also, we are looking for volunteers who would like to help with event planning for each of (or one of) the events in our series next year - the duathlon, the splash-and-dash, and the triathlon!!!

THIS SATURDAY is the 15th annual Kids Who Tri Succeed Triathlon (back after not being offered in 2020)!! Register your 4 -14-year-old kids/nieces/nephews/grandkids at www.kidswhotrisucceed.com. Let's help the next generation fall in love with fitness challenges!!! This is a fun event for everyone, and the kids get a big sense of achievement!! Families gearing up for the 15th annual Kids Who Tri Succeed Triathlon (8/28): our team is also organizing another fun family event -the Conquering Challenges 5 k - that will be held this Saturday at a beautiful park with a lake in Avon (Fisher Meadows), at 8:30 a.m. All participants get drawstring backpacks and colorful bibs they can personalize, and there will also be refreshments, raffle prizes, age group awards and apodium! Parents AND kids, come participate!!!

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 15th annual Kids Who Tri Succeed Triathlon, to be held in Mansfield on August 28th at 9:30. The Kids Who Tri Succeed Mansfield Triathlon, scheduled for August 2020, has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety and health of our participants, spectators and volunteers is our number one priority at this time.

We are already planning for next year’s event, which we hope to be our best ever triathlon!

Our Story

The ConnectiCare Kids Who Tri Succeed - Children's Triathlon is an annual USA Triathlon sanctioned event in central Connecticut that draws kids ages 4-14 from CT, NY and MA. Our Swim/Run/Bike race offers age appropriate distances for different age groups on a course closed to traffic and is held just before kids go back to school every year. Now in its 13th year, this event shows kids how much fun working towards a fitness goal is, and increases their confidence as a result.

Kids Who Tri Succeed is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building confidence and inspiring a love of fitness in kids through its multisport race series.
