Good evening everyone. Numbers are low. So low infact the contest is in jeopardy of being canceled. So we are changing things up a little. Its a $50 buy in. If you want to sell you will need to contact the health department i believe its $65 for a temporary permit. We are giving $500 to the winner more if we get enough sign ups. A go no go decision will be made next Sunday. Message the page to get signed up!

Save the date! This year's competition will be held in conjunction with the Mannington Main Street Inc. Octoberfest on October 4th! We will be running a true amateur bbq competition using kcbs rules. Set up will be the night of October 3rd. You will have a 10x10 space no electricity so plan accordingly. If you wish to serve the public you will have to get in touch with the marion county health department otherwise no serving of the public for contestants. There will be bbq vendors on site. The entry fee is $100 you will supply your own meats and they will be inspected when you set up. You can pretrim but you can not inject, brine, or season before inspection.

Today is the day! Our queen we be taking the stage at WVAFF for the very first time! Best of luck Lidia we are so proud of you and the way you have represented our little festival. This year 2 girls will be representing our hometown of Mannington so we also want to give a shout out to one of our past queens and say good luck to the Mannington District Fair Queen as well. You girls have an entire city behind you tonight.

Alright we are bringing it back this year! Yall asked to try the bbq and we are delivering on that. For a $10 donation you will have the opportunity to try and taste the bbq from the vendors. People's choice starts at 11am under the Mannington Main Street Inc. Tent at the Wintergarden Park.
