Kato Ballroom The Kato Ballroom was built in 1946 and has been a part of Minnesota musical and event history for over 80 years.

The Kato Ballroom has hosted numerous famous acts such as Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, Glen Miller and Johnny Holm amonst many others. In addition, many generations of Minnesotans hold fond memories of proms, dances, weddings, holiday parties and special events at the Kato. Anyone can have a wedding or a party at a hotel or conference center, but not everyone can say they were at an event in a pla

ce where history was made. The Ballroom is now host to numerous wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, corporate events, school banquets as well as regionally and nationally famous bands and dancing events. We offer full catering, bar service, table setting and decoration services. The Ballroom can hold up to 1800 guests but can also make any engagement from 50 guests on up feel warm and inviting by utilizing one or more of our three event rooms.
