Lakeshore Balloon Glow Lakeshore Balloon Glow is an annual family friendly event that takes place in downtown Manitowoc.

Lakeshore Balloon Glow 2024 will include hot air balloons, delicious food trucks and cold drinks, family friendly activities and entertainment, fireworks and more! This year's event will take place on Friday, August 16 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This event is brought to the community in partnership between the Chamber of Manitowoc County, City of Manitowoc and Visit Manitowoc.

Lakeshore Balloon Glow kicks off at 5 pm TONIGHT, and the fun continues through 9 pm!

A few reminders:
🆓This event is FREE!
🌊Webfooters water ski show takes place at 5:30 pm. Please stay behind the caution taped areas and off the seawall. The show can be seen from both sides of the river.
🪄Mischief & Magic show is in the children’s area at 6:30 pm. There are also ongoing activities from the Manitowoc Public Library, bounce houses, the Traveling Snake Guy, Lakeshore FIRST Robotics and more!
🎈Balloons begin inflating and glowing at 7:30 pm.
🎆The Fireworks show over the harbor at 8:30 pm.
🚌Trolleys and buses continually circle between Lincoln High School’s JFK parking lot, Roncalli High School and Faith Church, providing an offsite parking shuttle service to the downtown event grounds.
🍔Food trucks are located on both sides of the river.
🍻New this year, we’re accepting both cash and credit cards in our drink tents!

Thank you to our Trolley Sponsors for supporting Lakeshore Balloon Glow! You can park offsite at three locations and take our trolley/shuttle service to the event grounds. This service is offered at the following locations:

Lincoln High School
JFK Fieldhouse Parking Lot
S. 9th St., Manitowoc

Roncalli High School
2000 Mirro Dr., Manitowoc

Faith Church
2201 S 42nd St, Manitowoc

Trolley/Shuttle service will begin at 4:45pm from each of the pickup/parking sites, and will continuously loop throughout the night in about 30 minute segments. The last shuttle/trolleys will leave the event grounds at 9:00pm.

Downtown parking is also free!
