Last week, we got to do something we don’t get to do nearly enough: sit down, share a meal, and celebrate some of the people who make Pikes Peak Marathon+Ascent happen! ❤️

Our volunteer appreciation dinner was a chance to slow down after race season and say thank you to the people who give so much of their time, energy, and care to this event.

Race weekend moves fast, and there are hundreds of volunteers spread all over Manitou and Pikes Peak doing work that runners may never even see. This dinner was just one small way to recognize that.

To everyone who volunteered with us this year — whether you were able to join us for dinner or not — thank you! You are such a huge part of this race, and we’re incredibly grateful you choose to show up for it year after year.

There are a lot of moving pieces behind race weekend, and Heuberger Subaru helps with more than most people ever see.

This year, Heuberger Subaru supported our first-ever Mini Marmots Run, complete with popsicles waiting for the kiddos at the finish line. They also helped transport some of our elite athletes after the Ascent, and for years now, they’ve been helping us get runners off the mountain in style.

We’re incredibly grateful to have Heuberger Subaru as part of the Pikes Peak Marathon+Ascent family. Thank you for showing up for our runners, from the littlest ones to some of the fastest on the mountain. 💛

Pikes Peak brought runners from all over this year!

For the 2026 Ascent, we welcomed 1,938 registrations representing 46 states and 8 countries. Colorado led the way with 1,230 registrations, followed by Texas and Kansas.

The Marathon brought 868 registrations from 38 states and 8 countries, with Colorado, Texas, and California at the top of the list.

And beyond the U.S., runners joined us from Canada, Mexico, Australia, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, Costa Rica, Austria, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, France, Chile, and more.

We love seeing how far people travel to take on Pikes Peak, and we’re especially grateful that so many of you chose to spend race weekend with us!

We are already missing each and every one of you! 🏔️❤️

Race weekend brings so much life to Manitou Springs. Runners are everywhere. Families and friends are cheering. Volunteers are out before sunrise, and bringing their infectious smiles. Runners and friends hugging at the finish and swapping stories in the park.

And then, just like that, it’s over. The streets get quiet again, the tents come down, and we’re left thinking about all the people who made the weekend feel the way it did.

We had hundreds of volunteers helping across race weekend, which means we definitely don’t have photos of every single one of you. What we do have is an enormous amount of gratitude.

You were at the start, on the mountain, at aid stations, in vans, at bib pickup, in the expo, serving food, pouring b**r, moving bags, answering questions, helping runners, and doing a hundred other things most people never see.

To every volunteer who gave us your time, energy, patience, and care this weekend: thank you! We couldn’t do this without you!
