And that’s a wrap on the 2025 Ed Cotts. We couldnt have asked for a better finish this year. Joe Frederick put himself in trouble on the 7th hole after putting two balls in the water and finishing with a 6. After a great tee shot on the par 3 8th Frederick almost made the birdie and left himself with a tap in par. Coming up to the 9th tee Frederick could hear a roar of boos as he teed up his ball. His tee shot went wide left and it looked like we were going to a playoff between Bob Case who carded a 36 +7 which was good enough to tie the previous best round at an Ed Cotts. Frederick stepped up to his chip shot with the Chicago Bulls entrance music playing for the third time on the 9th hole. With laser focus he locked in and put one 4’ from the flag stick. Now with a putt for par and a 35 +6 on the day Frederick laid down on the green to get a really good read. A couple patrons charged the green and almost had to be escorted off by security. Frederick didn’t even notice the shenanigans going on behind him. He was locked in…..laser focus…..and with absolute confidence Frederick buried his putt to win the 3rd annual Ed Cotts Invitational. What an epic finish to the amazing day.

Financial breakdown for the tournament.

Food truck - $1550

Beer - $100

Raffle prizes - $400

Door Prize/gift card - $50

Championship belts - $110

Total - $2210

Tournament fee - $35 x 44 =$-1,540.00

The Ed Cotts fund is at negative $670 currently.

The raffle and split the pot are what will help me continue to make this event better every year. This silly idea we came up with has grown into something I never seen coming. Getting everyone together and watching them have a good time makes all the effort worth it. That being said I cannot run a tournament that loses money every year. If you enjoy the event and you would like it to continue to grow please think of that when the raffle tickets come around. Thank you guys and I look forward to seeing everybody on Sunday.
