OUR ROOKIE SEASON 🏈

With college football season just 3½ weeks away, I found myself reflecting on where the My Home Team Turf™ journey began.

I have learned that an idea is just an idea until someone else believes in your vision & purpose.

These are moments that became memories I will cherish for a lifetime. 🙏🩷🏈

THE MOMENTS THAT SHAPE US. 🙏⚾️💯

Before there was My Home Team Turf™... there was a little girl who fell in love with sports.

Growing up in Belmont, NC - sports wasn’t just something we watched. It was how we spent time together. It was how we communicated. My dad and my granddaddy taught me that sometimes you will strike out, drop the ball, fall down and when you do … you get back up - dust yourself off, step back up to the plate and swing again & you never ever give up. 🙏

Looking back, I realize they weren’t just teaching me about sports. They were teaching me about life.

This photo was taken in 1984 at my very first Major League Baseball game with my dad. Our seats were at the top of the stadium in the last row.

One of my favorite family keepsakes is a handwritten letter my grandfather wrote to my grandmother on October 2, 1941. In the middle of the letter, he simply wrote,
“I just ate a chicken supper and didn’t get back from the ball game until 5:15“ … he was at Game 2 of the World Series. ⚾️

I smile every time I read those words.

Today, I believe sports have never been just about the game.
They are about the people beside us. The Traditions.
The Values we pass on from one generation to another.

The shared moments that become cherished memories for a lifetime.
