Last Friday, the gorgeous Eclipse Venue got a little dustier, rustier, and a whole lot more western. 🌵
We got to take over Eclipse Venue in Bismarck for Dreams in Motion’s Murder at the 3rd Street Saloon, and I have been DYING 🔪 to share all the little details.
First, can we talk about ECLIPSE?! Their team has done a KILLER job renovating this space. It made the PERFECT backdrop for a murder mystery.
I wanted everything to feel like it had actually lived a life before it got there, not ordered online. So a LOT of what you see came straight from my uncles’ farms. Old wood, rusty iron, weird little pieces I didn’t totally know what they were but absolutely knew I needed 😂, plus warm florals, wheat, dried textures and an unreasonable amount of tumbleweeds.
And yes. My mom actually went tumbleweed hunting. I asked for 3-4, she showed up with a truck and 10.
For the photo area, I rented the rustic wood backdrop from KZ PhotoBooth Rental and then she went and one-upped all of us by surprising Dreams in Motion with her gorgeous Prairie Booth for the night. 🤎 If you have an event coming up, seriously, look at this booth. It looks beautiful in the room AND the photos coming out of it are SO GOOD.
But the whole reason for this little western world was Dreams In Motion.
They give people with disabilities opportunities to participate in adaptive sports, compete, belong, have fun and just get to do the things everyone else gets to do. That kind of inclusion matters, and they’re doing it right here in our community.
The murder has been solved 🔪, but you can still support their mission. Head to dreamsinmotioninc.com to learn more or make a donation.
Huge thank you to Dreams in Motion for trusting me with another wonderfully weird idea, KZ Photobooth for being ridiculously generous, and the Eclipse crew for being so dang great to work with.
More weird themes, please. 🌵🤠
